British Gypsum, the internal drylining supplier, is extending its relationship with railfreight company First GBRf after signing a multi-million pound five-year contract.
The drylining company sources raw materials from a number of different locations, so First GRBf provides the company with an open book arrangement, which offers the capacity for three trains a day to be run on an emerging cost basis.
The partnership, which has been in place since 2003, enables British Gypsum to switch transport from different sites including UK mines, power stations and UK ports more quickly.
