Mushroom compost haulier SW Adamson Transport has increased its fleet of Volvo FH16-660s to 11.
The Middleham-based company chose the model as it offers “good fuel economy” and has specified that the majority of the trucks have tag-axles for improved manoeuvrability.
SW Adamson Transport collects fresh compost from its factory in Bawtry near Doncaster and transports it daily to mushroom farms throughout the UK.
The company also hauls a range of chicken and pig farming materials.
The trucks have been supplied by Crossroads Truck and Bus in Boroughbridge, which sources the pumping gear for the walking floors and sorts out hire vehicles for the company when needed as well.
