Independent UK central heating company Adey Professional Heating Solutions has chosen Wesupply’s On Demand Electronic Trading system to improve efficiency as it increases in size.
The system will be used to connect the company’s customer base and help deal with its supply chain processes in a bid to reduce errors and administration costs.
Rebekah Howard, operations manager at Adey, said: “We were receiving faxed purchase orders and due to the large increase of these orders we have experienced duplications and sometimes have not received orders at all.”
The company was spending around four hours a day sorting out orders with “regular manual errors occurring”.
She added: “Consequently, we required a solution that would reduce the manual effort required to receive and process orders and could scale with the needs and growth of our business.”
* Wesupply has appointed Oliver Cooper as non-executive member of its board of directors.
The move comes shortly after Stewart Oades, the former chief executive of Christian Salvesen, took over the position of chairman.
Cooper joins from his role as founder and partner of Triton Value Partners.
He is the former chief operating officer of software provider Manhattan Associates and also served as president and non-executive director at Neovest.
