Crisp maker Walkers is now operating a £3.7 million automated sortation and palletising system designed and installed by CSi at its factory in Coventry.
The system can handle around 800 pallets a day and needs three members of staff to operate it. It replaces a manual handling process.
Walkers products, including Doritos, Monster Munch and Quavers, are then dispatched to the company’s distribution centres in the East Midlands and the North.
CSi recently completed similar projects for Walkers in Belgium and Spain.
