Discount Tiles has installed an Optimiser warehouse management system by Optima at its main facility in Stockton-on-Tees.
The new system is used by six staff on site and can be accessed by up to 30 store staff online, enabling them to check stock levels for customers in real-time.
Russ Dalgleish, managing director of the tile retailer, said: “As well as improved stock accuracy and better customer information Optimiser helps me make good management decisions because I can see which stock lines sell well in which store.”
In addition, Dalgleish said he is able to monitor the accuracy of his warehouse staff, allowing him to maximise performance.
