Transaid is searching for 30 members of the UK transport and logistics industry to take part in Cycle Zambia 2009.
The ten-day challenge, which involves five days of cycling, will run from 7th – 16th May 2009, starting in the capital Lusaka and ending in Livingstone.
The 420km bike ride features on and off-road cycling and has been graded as “challenging” so participants will be expected to train in the UK prior to the trip.
The event follows Cycle Malawi 2006 and Cycle Kenya 2007 and aims to raise more than £100,000 for people in Africa to gain better access to healthcare and education, as well as safer, cheaper transport.
Participants will be asked to pay a registration fee of £299 and raise a minimum of £3,000 in sponsorship.
