GreenChem is now producing AdBlue from a plant in Irlam, Manchester, tripling its UK output by potentially creating 30 – 40 million litres of the urea-based fuel a year.
In addition to the Irlam facility, which is operated by Multisol, the company has a second plant in Peterlee, County Durham, and plans to operate from a further two plants by the end of 2008.
Chris Haynes, managing director of GreenChem UK, said: “We are working with our supplier Multisol to create a network of production plants, giving a good spread of distribution opportunities throughout the country.”
The new site has filling facilities for IBCs and drums.
