Ceva Logistics is integrating its contract logistics and freight management businesses and has appointed four presidents to manage the integrated businesses on a regional basis.
“We believe this will bring our business even closer to customers and help us meet their growing need for integrated solutions.”
Ceva resulted from the merger of the former TNT Logistics with EGL Eagle Global Logistics in August 2007.
The new company retained the Contract Logistics and Freight Management businesses as separate divisions, with the exception of Asia-Pacific which tested a model integrating the two businesses at country level.
The success of that nine-month pilot has persuaded the company to adopt the integrated model globally.
Chief executive officer John Pattullo said: “The Asia test has delivered outstanding results. The integrated structure allows for one CEVA ‘face’ to the market, helps us stay very much attuned to customer expectations, and enables the provision of integrated solutions.”
Bruno Sidler becomes president for Northern Europe while Gianfranco Sgro becomes president for Southern Europe, Middle East & Africa. Vittorio Favati is the new president for Asia-Pacific and Joe Bento becomes president for the Americas and the Global FM network.
