Norbert Dentressangle has replaced its chief executive Jean-Claude Michel with François Bertreau who previously headed its logistics business.
Group chairman Norbert Dentressangle said: “On my suggestion, the supervisory board considered that a change was necessary to navigate and succeed operationally in a new and very important stage in the group’s history and, as such, prepares ourselves to rise to the forthcoming challenges with a view to global development.”
Bertreau will continue to manage the logistics division and will supervise strategy and acquisitions, as well as communications.
Jean-Claude Michel had been chief executive officer since 1998. The group has doubled in size following the takeover of Christian Salvesen last year.
François Bertreau joined the Norbert Dentressangle Group in 1998 as director of the Logistics Division. He has been a member of the Norbert Dentressangle Group Executive Board since 2002. Revenue in the logistics business increased from 145 million euros in 1998 to 1.325 billion euros in 2007.
The group’s executive board, is now made up of François Bertreau, chief executive officer, Hervé Montjotin, executive vice president and Patrick Bataillard, chief financial officer.
The supervisory board made up of: Norbert Dentressangle, chairman, Evelyne Dentressangle, vice-chairman, Henri Lachmann, Pierre-André Martel, Vincent Ménez, Jean-Luc Poumarède, Bruno Rousset and François-Marie Valentin.
