Zetes is set to implement ImageID’s Visidot supply chain traceability software at global food distribution company Campofrío, in a bid to speed up accurate shipping verification.
Campofrío currently uses a manual system with handheld scanners to verify its time-sensitive shipments, which it says prolongs lead times.
Via barcode labels attached to outbound products Visidot is designed to automatically cap¬ture data, which can then be compared to orders, providing operators with real-time alerts on progress, as well showing an item’s location.
The first installation of Visidot will be done by Zetes at Campofrío’s fresh products plant, Carnes Selectas 2000, in Burgos, Spain. Once installed it will help the company keep track of more than 300 pallets of meat products a day.
