François Bertreau, the newly appointed CEO of Norbert Dentressangle, has reaffirmed his confidence in the group, despite challenging market conditions, after the company posted a strong growth in revenue for the first half of 2008.
The group has reported earnings of 1.6 billion euros (£1.3 billion) for the period, an increase of 83 per cent compared to the previous year, following the acquisition of Christian Salvesen in December 2007.
Revenue for the logistics arm of the business rose by 112 per cent compared to 2007 and now accounts for 42 per cent of the group’s total revenue. The transport division saw an increase of 66 per cent.
