The Ministry of Defence has renewed its contract with freight exchange service Freightex to use its software to optimise its road freight.
Freightex operates a real-time view of unallocated freight and empty vehicles, allowing the MoD’s selected suppliers to make offers to move consignments on an open market basis.
The MoD has been working with Freightex, formerly X4Freight, since May 2006. They have an option to extend their contract a year at a time.
