Mitsubishi’s latest eight to 16 tonne counterbalance range uses a combination of common rail technology and an electronically controlled fuel injection system, a turbo charger, an intercooler, exhaust gas recirculation and a positive crank case ventilation system to control torque, noise and emissions. It features an Integrated Presence System, which provides a parking brake alarm, a seat belt warning light and a hydraulic and travel interlock system. Heavy-duty, oil-cooled disc brakes are fitted as standard on the 16 tonne model and as an option on the others. The box-shaped chassis has fuel and hydraulic tanks integrated into it.
