Savoye has completed installation of a £399,000 (500,000 euro) stand-alone order preparation system for Bookpoint at its Abingdon facility. The system incorporates Savoye’s PAC600 packaging technology and conveyors to provide a flexible system enabling Bookpoint to service a recently acquired contract without impacting on its existing client base.
The PAC600 packaging technology provides automated carton erection, product security and sealing, while allowing orders to be picked directly into the dispatch carton. Combined with Savoye conveyors, zone picking and automated label applicators, this offers Bookpoint flexibility for now and the future, while benefiting from automation.
