DHL has appointed Hans Hickler as chief executive officer of the company’s Global Customer Solutions organisation.
In his new role, Hickler will be in charge of customer relationship management for the group’s largest customers throughout the world.
He said the company will be focusing on developing an “efficient, service-orientated organisation” that best addresses its customers’ needs.
Hickler joined DHL in 2005 and most recently held the position of CEO of DHL Express in the United States.
He has more than 25 years experience working within the transport and logistics industry, holding senior positions at companies such as NOL Group and APL Logistics.
Hickler will be based in Plantation in the US and is also chairman of the DHL Global Commercial Board, which has been set up to look at and resolve any commercial concerns across all DHL business units.
