Graham Wall, commercial director of PD Ports’ Teesport facility, is set to succeed Derrick Potter as national chairman of UKWA in 2009, following his appointed as vice chairman.
Roger Williams, chief executive officer of UKWA, said: “There are fewer and fewer good men and women who are prepared to give the time to help run trade associations, so we are delighted to be able to draw upon the services of someone of Graham’s calibre.”
Wall has been with PD Ports since 2006 and has been working with retailers and industrial importers to develop alternative supply chain routes using the company’s Northern ports.
