A-SAFE barrier for Channel 4’s ‘Guy Martin’s Wall of Death’

Manufacturer A-SAFE produced a barrier for Channel 4’s Guy Martin’s Wall of Death – a live programme that broadcasted Guy Martin’s speed world record.

A-SAFE created a protective circular barrier which contained the film crew, medics and engineers while the record attempt took place. The grey Traffic Double-Rail+ iFlex Barrier was installed in the centre of the Wall of Death Arena.

Guy’s speed reached 78.15mph – and he experienced forces of 5.2G, which is almost strong enough to knock someone out.

“North One TV were looking for an aesthetically pleasing and secure ‘safe zone’ for the centre of our Guy Martin’s Wall of Death Live set,” said producer Tom Norton. “After speaking to the team about our needs it was quickly apparent that

A-SAFE could produce a tailor-made barrier which would fit perfectly within our set.

“The functionality, combined with the look was absolutely perfect for our needs.”
