ACS&T has taken delivery of the first of 12 Euro 6 trucks, which are to be acquired over the next operating year.
After trials, the company has made an initial purchase of two new Renault DTI Euro 6 trucks to replace existing vehicles. The company recently extended its fleet of 30-pallet refrigerated trailers to 18.
Managing director Malcolm Johnstone said: “As well as improved fuel consumption, we were particularly impressed by the driver training benefits as part of Renault’s package of support. With their computer aided training, we can develop our drivers to reduce fuel consumption.”
