ACS&T, the food storage and distribution company, has spent £1 million on its fleet, which includes trailers, tracking equipment and tractors.
The business bought five Volvo FH12 500 tractor units, 13 Gray & Adams temperature controlled trailers. The company’s Volvo FH500 141 tractors are to operate from its Scarborough depot.
The new trailers are 13.6 metres and include 15.5 cubic ft tracked and controlled fridge units, and will be used at a factory in Scarborough.
“Our investment underlines a drive to prove the highest quality of service while demonstrating a clear commitment to reducing CO2 emissions,” said ACS&T managing director Malcolm Johnstone.
