Chilled Food to Go manufacturer Adelie Foods Group has agreed to lease a 102,900 sq ft distribution centre at developer Prologis’ Prologis Park Heathrow scheme in Hayes, West London.
Adelie currently supplies the retail, coffee shop, travel and contract catering sectors with a wide range of high quality Food to Go products and will use the new building to expand its national distribution network to meet growing demand across its customer base.
Rick Kovac, Supply Chain Director at Adelie Foods Group said: “This new facility affords us significant extra capacity in a great location. The new building gives us the scope to further develop our own and our third party distribution model and, importantly, also enables us to create a much better working environment for the team.”
Responding to the demand for modern distribution facilities in West London, Prologis developed the building speculatively. It completed at the end of 2014 with an EPC A (14) rating and is expected to achieve BREEAM ‘excellent’ accreditation.
Andrew Griffiths of Prologis said: “We are working hard to create the best opportunities in prime markets for our customers. With this letting, Prologis Park Heathrow is almost complete and we are looking ahead to our next development in Hayes. In 2014, we acquired a 30 acre site next to nearby Stockley Park. Our plans for this site, which is now known as Prologis Park West London, are progressing well and we have just submitted an outline planning application to the London Borough of Hillingdon.”
Savills and DTRE acted for Prologis, while Aspect Property Consultants represented Adelie Foods Group.
