Automation and AGV providers Egemin and EK Automation will be exhibiting at IntraLogisteX, with Egemin taking to the stands on the back of implementing one of its systems across several L’Oréal sites in Europe and the US.
Six L’Oréal sites have been automated with the provision of more than 100 Egemin E’gv automated guided vehicles. The vehicles are compatible for lifting heights up to 2.4 metres.
Markus Moch, project manager at L’Oréal Karlsruhe, said: “Because of the standardisation we now have a much more regular transport flow and our warehouse with packaging materials looks a lot neater. To avoid accidents, the E’gvs always follow the same route which is clearly marked, and never operate outside the programmed zones. Moreover, they automatically stop when obstacles are detected or when people would walk into their operating range.”
IntraLogisteX provides a UK audience with its only home-based intralogistics exhibition for 2015.
Alongside providing attendees access to its exhibitors, IntraLogisteX’s agenda has been accredited by The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport with ten CPD hours, allowing attendees to keep up with their professional qualifications.
Attendees of IntraLogisteX will gain five CPD hours for each of the exhibition’s two days.
A number of leading equipment suppliers have signed up for IntraLogisteX, with more signing up for the exhibition, which will include a host of special zones and pavilions highlighting different aspects of intralogistics:
• AMHSA members will be highlighting innovations in automated handling and storage.
• There will be a comprehensive seminar programme focusing on critical issues in intralogistics operations.
• Demonstration zones will highlight the latest technology in action.
• And a special feature for 2015 will be a “Future Zone” demonstrating cutting-edge technologies that will impact on intralogistics in the years to come.
IntraLogisteX takes place at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry on Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 March.
