Amazon is building a state-of-the-art robotics fulfilment centre on Sladen Estates and Peverill Securities’ Summit Park in Nottinghamshire, East Midlands.
The 1.752 million sq ft property will have a 550,000 sq ft floorplate and several mezzanine floors. It will have up to 20m eaves, high specification office, secure yard, generous car and trailer parking and a BREEAM rating of ‘Very Good’.
The development is funded by a major institutional investor is located off the Mansfield and Ashfield Regeneration Route (MARR) and has stood empty for almost ten years waiting for a requirement of this size to come along.
The state-of-the-art robotics fulfilment centre will help meet customer demand and enable SMBs selling on Amazon to scale their businesses. Amazon has started recruiting for a range of new roles, including engineers, HR and IT professionals through to health & safety and finance specialists and operations managers.

As reported in the Logistics Manager at the end of last year plans for Amazon’s Nottinghamshire expansion were first revealed in 2019.
