Amazon could be looking to own and occupy a warehouse in Bognor Regis.
The plans for the parcel delivery hub promoted by Lysander and Hanbury Properties have been submitted to Arun Council in West Sussex.
The proposals for a 122,837ft2 facility include the internet giant’s distinctive multi-storey van storage structure to accommodate up to 512 vans.
The developers said the scheme has been designed specifically for a potential owner occupier and the facility will provide last mile logistics involving vans distributing pre-picked and packaged goods for home deliveries to the surrounding area.
Packages would be delivered to the warehouse by HGVs, largely at night, in the 24-hour, seven-day operation.
Amazon launched its new style delivery depot with multi storey van storage in Peterborough last year and has secured a number of development and development sites during 2021.
