Amazon is opening a 107,639 ft2 delivery station in Redditch which it will use to deliver parcels to local customers in the area.
The facility comes with the promise of 40 permanent jobs in addition to the more than 100 driver opportunities for Amazon Logistics’ delivery service partners and Amazon Flex delivery partners.
The delivery station on Hedera Road, Moans Moat North is expected to be fully operational this autumn.
The new facility is in addition to the 366,414 ft2 warehouse that Amazon is taking at Stoford’s 78-acre Redditch Gateway scheme in the town which Logistics Manager reported on last year.
Known as Unit A Gorcott, the building will have 16.2m eaves as well as a 328,300 ft2 warehouse with an adjoining office and welfare facility totalling 38,100 ft2. The property is accessed via three sides with yards from 40 – 67m. It has 102 dock levellers as well as 4 van and two level access doors. There is parking for 125 HGVs and 470 cars.
The scheme is located just off Junction 3 of the M42 motorway. There are two plots remaining for design and build of units from 150,000 – 260,000 ft2.
Joint letting agents are Colliers, Savills and Burbage Realty.
