Amazon Logistics is to open a delivery station on the second phase of developer Mountpark’s WarringtonOmega development in Warrington – this is the second Amazon warehouse in the town.
The 203,390ft2 warehouse is one of three built speculatively by Mountpark in 2020. Each building includes a rooftop Solar PV array that will meet around 50% of the facility’s regulated energy. One unit totalling 225,312ft2 remains available through joint letting agents CBRE and JLL.
The new Amazon facility is expected to be fully operational this autumn and will serve customers based in the Warrington area.
It will create more than 60 permanent jobs, in addition to hundreds of driver opportunities for Amazon Logistics’ delivery service partners and Amazon Flex delivery partners.
Kerry-Anne Lawlor, country director for Amazon Logistics, said: “We are excited to invest in the Warrington area with a new delivery station.
“This will provide efficient delivery for customers and create new jobs for the talented workforce.”
