Asda has added 60 Cartwright double deck curtainsiders and ten double deck box vans to its fleet. The new trucks will accommodate pallets and cages carrying ambient produce based at the retailer’s distribution centres.
“Safety and compliance are high priorities for Asda on all our trailers, and our major aim for this and the previous order, was to comply with ENXL standard,” said Peter Hay, procurement manager, national fleets for Asda.
“There were challenges in bringing a trailer of this type up to ENXL standard but the evolution of the design from Cartwright overcame any obstacles resulting in improvements on our previous trailers.”
