Nottingham-based freight forwarder Baxter Freight is to create 50 new jobs as part of an expansion plan that is targeting a 66 per cent increase in turnover in the next two years.
Baxter Freight already employs 70 people and is targeting turnover of £30 million by 2021, up from its current level of £18 million. To support this, it will raise staff numbers to 120.
In order to house this increase in staffing levels, Baxter Freight will add an additional 5,000sq ft to its current headquarters, creating a 15,000sq ft facility.
MD Peter Isler said: “As we accelerate our growth and invest in people and premises, this is one of the most exciting phases in Baxter Freight’s development and the most beneficial for our customers.
“Our focus is and always will be on delivering market leading customer service, supported by the most competitive logistics solutions, so that we can build long term relationships. To have achieved this growth against the background of uncertain political and economic times is testament to the fantastic team here at Baxter Freight,” Isler added.
