Bibby distribution has expanded its contract with Roberts Bakery to incorporate distribution and warehousing from Corby.
More than 20,000 Roberts Bakery goods will now be delivered to Bibby’s Northamptonshire depot every week and then distributed to 100 customers in Leicester, Coventry and along the M1 corridor.
Bibby is already handling distribution for Roberts Bakery across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire from its Scunthorpe depot.
“The feedback from our customers has been fantastic – thanks to Bibby Distribution’s speed and efficiency, stores are receiving the freshest possible pre-packaged bread,” said Mark Owen, logistics director at Frank Roberts and Sons.
“As a result, Bibby Distribution was the clear and obvious choice to support our ambitious growth plans in other regions.”
