Steve Parker, board member of the British International Freight Association, has become president of CLECAT, the Brussels-based European association for forwarding, transport, logistics and customs services.
He takes over from Mark Huybrechts.
Parker is head of customs & brokerage – Europe at DHL UK and has over 35 years of experience in forwarding and logistics. He is also a past chairman of BIFA.
BIFA director general Robert Keen said: “Steve’s appointment is important as it helps to strengthen BIFA’s influence and involvement in this important organisation and facilitate contacts with significant stakeholders, for the benefit of our members.”
