Prologis has announced that it will speculatively develop a 275,000 sq ft distribution centre at Prologis Park Marston Gate in Milton Keynes.
Located next to the 151,000 sq ft national distribution centre that Prologis is building for furniture retailer Dwell, the speculative facility will complete the second phase of Prologis Park Marston Gate.
Designed and constructed to achieve a minimum BREEAM ‘very good’ accreditation and the best possible EPC rating for its size, the building will include a rooftop solar installation that will generate 10 per cent of the building’s regulated energy. Construction will begin this month and the unit is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2017.
Providing around 1.8 million square feet in total, Prologis Park Marston Gate is located to the south east of Milton Keynes, next to Junction 13 of the M1 motorway.
“This distribution centre builds on the success of our two recent phases of speculative development and it is the largest speculative building to be constructed in the UK since the Brexit vote,” said Andrew Griffiths, managing director, Prologis UK.
