Walker Logistics won a contract with online retailer Bodie and Fou to manage its UK and European supply chain.
The Berkshire-based logistics company will receive incoming stock and dispatch orders across the UK and into Europe. As well as standard picking and packing responsibilities, Walker will gift-wrap certain items from the Bodie and Fou range, which is made up of high-end home accessories.
“Outsourcing to a supply chain specialist will free up the time of key personnel within the Bodie and Fou organisation to do what they are best at doing – sourcing and designing stylish homeware for a discerning and trend-conscious client base,” said William Walker, sales director of Walker Logistics. “The increased storage space and operational flexibility that a 3PL specialist offers means that Bodie and Fou can now start to ramp up their stockholding in readiness for a planned upturn in order volumes.”
