GSF Car Parts, a UK-based supplier of car parts, tools and equipment, has taken a 10-year lease for a last-mile logistics facility at Prologis Park Chessington in South West London.
The unit taken by the distributor, known as ‘DC2’, is a 6,695ft² facility with LED lighting. GSF Car Parts will join occupiers such as Carpetright, Howdens and Selco at the site.
Logistics property owner, developer and investor Prologis UK said that the location ‘benefits from a 330,000-strong labour pool within a 20-minute drive’.
Ben Briant, property director at GSF Car Parts, said: “With demand growing across our operations, we needed to look at our portfolio and find a new location that would allow us to bolster our last-mile operations and service customers in London and the South East even more efficiently.
“Prologis Park Chessington ticked all of the boxes. The unit’s location was perfect and the Prologis team was able to handle the leasing process with the speed we needed.”
Speed, Prologis said, was of the essence for GSF Car Parts, with the lease agreement process for DC2 being completed in just three weeks.
