CIRRO Fulfillment, which provides e-commerce fulfilment services, has collaborated with warehouse automation specialist Hai Robotics to integrate autonomous case-handling robotics solutions into its fulfilment site in Germany ahead of the holiday season.
The fulfilment centre totals 6,500m² with a reported storage volume of 3,348m³. By implementing robotics-driven operations, the e-commerce firm hopes to improve operational efficiency by 30%, with its projected maximum daily outbound volume reaching 21,000 items.
The automation company has provided 45 A42L robots for order picking and eight A42T robots for shelving and automated stocking, with the picking robots able to handle payloads of up to 240kg and operate at up to 1.5m per second.
Designed to transport items to workers for picking and packing, the robots can support faster order processing and dispatch, thus reducing handling times and improving deliveries and customer satisfaction.
What’s more, the A42 robots can pick and store cases up to a height of 5.2m, with this series consisting of four models, all of which handle a wide range of case dimensions and types, according to Hai Robotics.

The solutions were designed to incorporate multiple storage trays, enabling the automated warehouse picking robot to handle up to 9 cases simultaneously.
Providing bespoke fulfilment solutions, CIRRO Fulfilment has to date achieved 1,200,000m² of global storage space, including two smart fulfilment centres in the US and the UK that use AMRs.
Two of the new sites were opened in September in the US and Mexico in Rialto, California, adjacent to LAX, and in Atizapán de Zaragoza, Estado de México, where the company has established a 75,000ft² site equipped with a 24/7 security system.
“We are thrilled about our collaboration with CIRRO Fulfillment,” commented Sean Wang, Sales Director at Hai Robotics EMEA.
“The application of our fully integrated solution, blending ACRs and AMRs, represents a milestone in the use of versatile robotics technologies in e-commerce fulfilment operations for the EMEA region.”
