Property firm PLP has announced that it has agreed a deal with omnichannel fulfilment services provider CIRRO Fulfillment for a 15-year lease on its speculatively developed 345,000ft² project at Stone Business Park in Staffordshire.
The unit, known as PLP Stafford, has achieved BREEAM ‘Excellent’ and EPC ‘A’ certification, as well as a 10% biodiversity net gain. PLP notes that the facility also ‘achieved both Carbon Neutral and Carbon Net Zero status, as per the UK Green Building Councils Net Zero Buildings Framework’.
Its environmental features include solar photovoltaic panels, electric vehicle charging bays, rainwater harvesting and air source heating and cooling.
With an 18m clear height, the facility also includes over 20,000ft² of office space. PLP has said that the warehouse can accommodate racking for 66,800 pallets in a wide aisle setup or up to 85,720 pallets in a very narrow aisle (VNA) layout.
Keith Wilson, development director at PLP, commented: “We are delighted to welcome CIRRO Fulfillment to PLP Stafford, a âbest-in-classâ facility in an exceptionally strong location.
Securing such a successful and dynamic occupier on a long-term lease here is a huge endorsement of PLPâs specification, design and ESG credentials.”
Charles Lu, head of business development at CIRRO Fulfillment Europe, added: “We are thrilled to complete the lease with PLP so promptly following the recent opening of a brand-new facility in Staffordshire in early July.
“This state-of-the-art facility is an excellent addition as we gear up for the peak season, enhancing our capabilities to serve our customers better and more sustainably.”
Knight Frank advised PLP while CIRRO Fulfillment was represented by Avison Young.
