Locus Robotics will provide AMR technology to US-based Concordance Healthcare Solutions, a company that provides technology and solutions to support supply chains in the healthcare industry.
Concordance has chosen LocusBots as its ‘primary AMR technology to support high-volume order fulfilment for the healthcare industry’.
Keith Price, Chief Information Officer at Concordance Healthcare Solutions, said: “Our partnership with Locus Robotics will help bring even greater efficiencies to our warehouses, help control costs, and enhance the productivity of our employees.”
According to Locus Robotics, its AMRs can improve efficiency by significantly reducing unproductive walking time, eliminating the need to manoeuvre heavy manual carts through warehouses, and lowering the overall physical demands on warehouse staff, while improving ergonomics and overall workplace quality.
Chief Executive of Locus Robotics Rick Faulk added: “Locus’ innovative multi-bot approach, dynamic flexibility, scalability, and fast ROI will help Concordance to consistently exceed their customers’ expectations.
“Our LocusBots are designed to improve all aspects of warehouse picking, sorting, and returns while seamlessly meeting the increased demand of medical supplies and other healthcare needs.”
The Locus solution was initially deployed at Concordance’s warehouse in Tiffin, Ohio but the company is currently in the process of rolling it out to 10 additional US sites.
