Segro has begun construction at its urban industrial scheme at Hayes, West London.
The site will be developed with four industrial units totalling 239, 665 sq ft.
The largest unit which measures at 97,600 sq ft, has already been pre-let. The remaining three units are being built speculatively to meet the demand for environmentally sustainable warehousing.
The new industrial units are expected to create up to 350 jobs for the local community once completed. A skills and training programme will be put in place by SEGRO and Hillingdon Council to ensure residents benefit from training and employment opportunities generated by the construction and future occupation of the industrial park.
Alan Holland, Managing Director, Greater London, SEGRO, said: “SEGRO Park Hayes will encourage low carbon economic growth, drive skills and employment opportunities, preserve local heritage and contribute to the long-term vitality of the Hayes community.
