A 13 year partnership has been renewed between Crown Paints and IPP, which will see 30,000kg of CO2 emissions cut from the retailer’s supply chain each year.
IPP has worked with Crown Paints and its 3PL provider CEVA Logistics to streamline the supply chain, which has led to fewer empty journeys that are needed to collect pallets and return them to Crown’s production sites.
Shelley Harris, Commercial Director at IPP said: “We are dedicated to helping our customers reap the environmental rewards and cost savings that can be achieved with a smarter approach to pallet transportation and logistics.
“While many companies are waking up to the potential of the circular economy, especially in the wake of COP26, it is hard-wired into our DNA and an integral part of how we work with our customers.”
Michael Stevens, Head of Logistics and Planning at Crown UK & Ireland, said: “Developing trusted partnerships with key suppliers who share our ambitious sustainability goals is key to us at Crown Paints – as we progress on our journey to be carbon neutral in our own operations by 2025.”
IPP is part of the Netherlands-based Faber Group and supplies approaching 70 million pallets to the FMCG industry every year.
