Dachser has launched its own road logistics branch in Turkey that will link up to the European groupage network via the Cargoplus organisation.
Wolfgang Reinel, managing director European logistics North Central Europe, who is in charge of Dachser’s road logistics business in Turkey, said: “We have been developing transport operations in Turkey over the last few years. Now it is time to take the next steps to ensure that our customers there are able to profit from the advantages offered by uniform Dachser IT systems—in particular Tracking & Tracing. In close collaboration with our air and sea freight organisation, we want to approach certain segments of the Turkish growth sectors of consumer goods, automotive and textiles/fashion with a holistic, intermodal logistics strategy.”
