Rail freight operator DB Cargo UK has created wheel lathe facilities at Toton and Stoke.
DB is now able to service and manufacturer powered wheelsets and wagons for third parties, as well as for the company itself.
“These developments build on DB Cargo UK’s ability to service its own fleet and add to the services it can offer to external companies too,” said Andrew Byrne, head of maintenance at DB Cargo UK. “We’ve created world class facilities. This demonstrates DB Cargo UK’s dedication to advancing technology and new innovations and developments.”
