DP World, and its subsidiary P&O Ferries have offered to import coronavirus vaccines into the UK for free.
A coronavirus vaccine developed by Pfizer/BioNTech has been approved for use in the UK. The vaccine will be made available from next week.
A spokesperson for DP World, which owns P&O Ferries, said: “We stand ready to support the Government in getting all the necessary vaccines into the UK. What’s more, we are willing to do this work for free should we be asked to do so, to help play our part in getting the UK through the pandemic as fast as possible.”
DP World operates two deep water ports with freight rail terminals at London Gateway and Southampton. P&O Ferrymasters runs short sea services in Europe, as well as road and rail logistics.
