Edward Osborne, head of the customer delivery model and direct to customer operations at John Lewis, will look at the issues involved in drop shipping, giving a detailed overview of how John Lewis operates its drop shipping while maintaining customer fulfilment, when he speaks at the Omni-Channel Conference later this month.
He will discuss the advantages of using drop ship deliveries over the established methods of fulfilment. He will also explore the best ways to maintain a good relationship with manufacturers, retailers and wholesalers.
Osborne has worked as the head of the customer delivery model and direct to customer operations for the past year within the John Lewis Partnership. Prior to this, he was the head of dropship operations within general merchandise online at Tesco Direct for four years.
