At Dugard we’ve been supplying machine tools since 1939, and boast the widest range of in the UK of horizontal and vertical lathes, machining centres, borers and grinders.
We represent SMEC Machine Tools, You Ji, Tos Varnsdorf, Matec, Kiwa and Chevalier and now we’ve added Hanwha to the mix. Hanwha supply CNC lathes and they’ve now introduced a range of collaborative robots, the HCR series, available in the UK exclusively at Dugard.
The Hanwha range of cobots are developed and produced in South Korea. Only on the market for a year they’re already gathering a big following, with vice president Woo Sok Chang saying “Our customers are overwhelmingly positive about the HCR series. What really sets our HCR series apart from other Cobots on the market is that you can run two HCR Cobots off of a single control unit. They can save up to 10% in operating costs compared to using two Cobots from a competitor. This allows our customers to increase their productivity.”
The HCR series is extremely precise, with 0.01mm positional accuracy, and can quite simply be used anywhere, with any machine. The range starts small enough to fit into the tightest production space and goes up to a heavy duty model that can really hold its own in industry. They can be set up on the floor, or mounted to a wall or ceiling and they can be used in conjunction with any CNC machine tool, or even by themselves. They are incredibly user friendly, programming can be as easy as hand guiding and progress can be monitored on an app. That of course means any member of your team can use and work with the Hanwha cobots without a lengthy training period, automating your production couldn’t be simpler.
