UK-based courier DX has announced the opening of a new parcel depot in Basildon, Essex. This is the first of eight facilities that the company plans to open before the end of June 2023.
DX will dedicate its new Basildon depot to fulfilling its customers’ next-day delivery orders of parcels and documents. This rapid delivery service, known as DX Express, is a branch of the company that was responsible for over a quarter of DX’s yearly revenue in 2021.
It will supporting an existing site in Harlow, primarily serving areas around Southend and Chelmsford.
DX intends to expand both their Express and Freight divisions, and is currently in the second year of a group-wide investment programme that expects to invest £20-25 million in new vehicles, equipment, and technology.
