Following its acquisition of the Sony’s UK distribution site in Enfield in November last year, investor developer Goodman UK has just launched the 180,000 sq ft plus warehouse in London.
The property – rebuilt in 2012 after rioters destroyed the original warehouse in 2011, – is located on Innova Park in Enfield and totals 187,466 sq ft of space. It has a 14.2m clear internal height, a 38m yard depth, 16 dock and two level loading doors as well as 163 car parking spaces, including staff welfare facilities, with a fitted canteen.
The warehouse will be ready for occupation in June 2020. Sony DADC announced it would close in June 2019 citing the decline of the physical music and entertainment market.
In a statement at the time Sony said: “As consumer habits in the home entertainment market continue to evolve, Sony DADC in England announced its proposal to close its distribution site in Enfield, England.”
The acquisition of the site by Goodman increases its London presence, following the purchase of a strategic 9.5 acre employment site in Park Royal last February.
