A three-year project has been launched to support the broad scale implementation of electromobility in the European road transport sector.
The project, called ‘NeMo’, is supported by the EU Horizon 2020 Programme.
The project identifies a limited range of electric vehicles and the lack of interoperability of recharging facilities, as some of the main reasons why many fleet operators don’t choose electric vehicles. Project NeMo has brought together 19 partners from eight different European countries, which have collectively built a network of tools, models and services to try to deliver this missing interoperability.
The network focuses on energy management, security and availability, and reducing barriers by making backend data accessible.
