Delivery company Evri is relocating its Newmarket depot to a site in Bury St Edmunds, creating over 50 new jobs in the area.
The move forms part of the company’s commitment to continuing to invest in its infrastructure to ensure it is able to support the growth of online shopping. The new facility will be operational later this month.
The 77,000ft2 site is on the Suffolk Logistics Park, a preferred geographical location to enable Evri to better serve the local area. The depot is double the size of the Newmarket location providing an increase in capacity from 120,000 to 180,000 per day, to support the business’ expansion strategy.
The facility has an EPC rating of A and is built to BREEAM ‘Excellent’.
95% of existing permanent workers will move to the new site.
