Rugby-based Exact Logistics has recruited its first apprentice – Oliver Fowler, who is also a current member of the England Under-18s indoor bowls team.
Oliver has been recruited as a traffic apprentice to become part of the 13-strong team.
Karen Shuter, Exact’s sales and marketing director, said: “Oliver is our first ever apprentice and he has settled in exceptionally well,” she said. “It is great to be able to teach him how we run our business and help him progress and learn the skills we need.
“He is mature for his age and his success and dedication with England’s indoor bowls team is mirrored in his work at Exact Logistics.
The 16-year-old won team gold in the British Isles Indoor Bowls Council’s Under-18s Mixed Championship in Northern Ireland.
“We are all taking a keen interest in his progress and wish him the best of his luck in future competitions,” said Shuter.
