In partnership with the Freight Transport Association, ExxonMobil has launched an energy efficiency guide for commercial vehicles.
The new guide has been created to aid CV operators in reducing costs via energy efficiency measures. Also outlined in the guide, are the challenges in meeting the European Commission aim to shrink carbon emissions by 60 per cent by 2050 based on 1990 levels.
“We’re offering clear, accessible and practical advice on how fleet owners can make their operations more energy efficient,” said Maciej Marcinowski, CVL marketing advisor for Europe, Africa & Middle East, ExxonMobil. “A small change, such as switching to high performance lubricants, can have a big impact when it comes to reducing fuel consumption and costs, ultimately making a business more profitable.”
James Hookham, deputy chief executive of the FTA, said:
“Energy efficiency has never been so important. The heightened attention on commercial vehicle fleets to play their part in meeting emissions targets is leading the industry to reassess the way it approaches energy management.
“There are now so many ways to streamline energy usage that we’re keen to help fleet owners understand what the legislation is and highlight what can be done in response.”
