Compared to all the goals in Game week 11, it wasn’t a great week for goals in Game week 12. 11 goals in 6 games on Saturday’s games did not make for exciting viewing, and not many points were scored.
Sunday saw 4 big games played out, starting with Liverpool beating struggling Fulham 2-0, with goals from Mohammed Salah and Xherdan Shaqiri. 2 assists from either full back along with a clean sheet made a good return for FPL manager’s with the Liverpool players in their team. A Jordan Pickford inspired performance for Everton, saw them keep a clean sheet against Chelsea in a 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge.
The biggest game of the weekend took place at the Etihad, as both Manchester clubs come head to head. City ran out as 3-1 winners, with goals from David Silva, Ilkay Gundogan and the ever reliable Sergio Aguero. 2 assists from Bernardo Silva was a boost for any manager with the Portuguese midfielder in their team.
We now have an international break as England look to give Wayne Rooney a great send off against the USA, then the matter of a Nations League tie against Croatia. All FPL managers will be hoping their players come back without injuries and in some good form. Do not change your team too early however, you may regret it!
