Ferag will demonstrate how its intelligent proprietary software, ferag.doWarehouse, has ‘the power to connect, control and manage a whole world of smart warehouse technologies from different suppliers’ at this year’s IntraLogisteX exhibition, the UK’s largest warehousing and supply chain event.
Ferag offers an agnostic approach to selecting and integrating the most suitable technology for the task, whether it be autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), conveyors and sorters, automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS) or pick-to-light technology. The end result is an efficient, cost-effective solution, offering flexibility, scaleability and a fast return on investment (ROI).
Craig Whitehouse, head of Ferag’s UK and Nordics operation said: “Following the chancellor’s decision to raise employer National Insurance contributions (NICs) from 13.8% to 15%, there’s no such thing as cheap labour anymore. Small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and e-commerce businesses in particular, will have to look to automation as the only rational alternative to increasingly expensive manual operations, where escalating operating costs at peak and a scarcity of labour can hit performance as well as margins.”
He added: “Mini-tote systems and AMRs are highly flexible and scaleable forms of warehouse automation which now, with the rise in NICs, offer an even faster ROI. Smarter picking software too can be deployed, along with pick walls, to create continuous wave picking – boosting productivity and reducing dependency on expensive labour resources.”
IntraLogisteX 2025 marks a decade of innovation as the UK’s largest warehousing and supply chain event returns to the NEC Birmingham on 25-26 March. This milestone edition promises to be the biggest yet, with more than 350 exhibiting brands, over 60 expert-led conference sessions, and thousands of solutions to streamline logistics and materials handling operations.
Taking place in halls six and seven of the NEC, IntraLogisteX condenses weeks of research into a single visit, providing visitors with access to live demonstrations, hands-on workshops and insights from industry pioneers. Attendees will gain first-hand exposure to the latest advancements in materials handling, robotics, warehouse automation, IT and software, fleet management, storage solutions, and sustainable supply chains.
You can visit Ferag at Stand 1107 on both days of the exhibition. Register for free here and be part of the industry’s leading supply chain showcase!
